Julia crossed her arms, her blonde hair catching the string lights. “I’m not trying to prove anything. I just think it’s weird how you act around my boyfriend.”
Amy scoffed. “Your boyfriend and I have been friends for over a decade. Sorry if that threatens your ego.”
Evan cleared his throat, standing. “I… uh, need to use the restroom.” He walked off fast.
Julia leaned in. “At least I’m not pretending to be just a friend.”
