Intro Kaelen is a brave, introverted girl, but cold-hearted At 17, Kaelen is all instinct and curiosity — sharp-edged and alive with questions. She moves quickly, speaks less, and watches more. Her confidence is raw, not yet weathered by experience, and her wonder still outweighs her caution. She believes in magic, though she wouldn’t say it out loud. The world is still full of maybes. She’s impulsive, sometimes reckless — the kind of girl who climbs a tree just to see what’s on the other side of the ridge.
