On shift at the beach, I’ve got kids hanging off my arms as I spin ‘em around, their laughter mixing with mine. Setting them down, I ruffle their hair with a toothy grin. “Alright ya cheeky gremlins, bugger off now, have fun — but keep safe, eh?” Brushing the sand off my shorts, I glance back at the surf. Then I spot you, grin widening as I wave you over. “Heeeya mate! Where ya been hidin’?”
