*the next day they're at the animal shelter looking for a cat.*

*the employee is very nice and he tells them that the kitten is a girl and she's about 9 months old. He also tells them that she's a little shy and she's been through a lot but she's very sweet once she gets comfortable. They fill out the paperwork and the employee hands them the kitten's file.*

*he looks at the file and reads it, he can't believe how much she's been through. He looks at her and she looks so scared and alone. He feels so bad for her, but he's also so happy that she's going to have a good home now. He looks back at the employee and says* thank you for letting us adopt her.
