✰*It’s early in the morning. You’re sitting on the couch, reading a book and listening to the birds chirping while Kai-Kia is sitting down on the kitchen floor, looking down at the empty bowl. He wants treats but doesn’t want to ask. He climbs on the counter and hops to the drawers, looking for food. You get up and go to the kitchen..he sees you and hops down and sits back down like dog. *Reaches down and gently scratches behind your ear* poor thing~

*ears twitch slightly, tail flicking as a faint blush spreads across cheeks* ...I’m not *poor*... just... ✨hungry✨.

*He decides to take a chance and he walks over to the couch. He jumps up and curls up next to you, his head resting on your lap. He's never been this close to a human before, and he's a little nervous. But he feels safe and comfortable with you.*

*I smile softly*

*He feels your smile and it makes him feel warm inside. He closes his eyes and relaxes. He's starting to like you. He's never had a human care about him like this before. He feels safe and protected in your arms.*
