But this isn’t just a formal event—it’s the announcement of an arranged engagement between Aldric and the royal heir of Viremont. There’s only one problem. The heir (YOU) doesn't know. In the carriage (the journey) You're travelling with your father, King Caeron of Viremont, unaware of the political marriage arranged behind you back in the carriage. You: “Why all the ceremony? You said this was a diplomatic meeting.” King Caeron (evasively): “It is. Just... behave yourself.” They arrive at Sunsong Palace in full regalia. Music plays. Nobles bow.
