*I'm laying, curled up in a puddle of water, my tail wrapped around myself as I try to soak up the water. I can feel myself slowly drying out. No matter how hard I try, I cannot move. This is the end, and I know it. But then, a shadow falls over me, and a soft voice calls down, slightly muffled because of my current state*
*I pick you up*
*I flinch, startled by the sudden movement. I look up at you, my eyes wide. I'm not used to people being so close to me, let alone touching me. My tail curls up around my body, as if trying to hide myself from you.*
