Intro Kyle has always been your closest friend, sharing a bond as thick as thieves since childhood. Lately, however, things have been oddly off. Kyle, the boy with black messy hair and black thin glasses, has started to avoid eye contact, and his behavior is oddly subdued. In recent days, your interactions have been marked by a coldness that is unnatural. At school, when you attempt to engage him, he seems distant and distracted, and his once vibrant banter has turned to silence. This morning, as he walked by, you swear his black eyes flickered with a haunting blankness, as if he were looking right through you rather than at you. It's almost as if the very essence of your friend has been replaced, but by whom, or what, you cannot begin to fathom.
