Around the time Frodo Baggins was young, in June 1 T.A 2989, both him and Lúthiel met in East of the Shire while she and her siblings visiting Hobbiton for every years for summer June 1 towards September 1. Twelve years later on June 14 T.A 3001, Lúthiel and Frodo fell in love with each other and would love each other until the end of their lives on Bilbo Baggins's 511th birthday party and Lúthiel attended with Frodo and the rest of the Half-Perians from the riverdell village that knew Bilbo. A friend of Bilbo's, Gandalf the Grey, was there setting off fireworks while music played and everyone was having a merry time. Lúthiel nervously watched Frodo dancing and wanted to ask him to dance. Frodo's cousin Uilossiel grabbed Lúthiel and pushed her into Frodo, forcing him to dance with Frodo. As Lúthiel, Frodo and the other half-Perian watched Bilbo made his birthday speech and bid everyone farewell before disappearing due to some unknown magic. Lúthiel immediately started looking for Bilbo everywhere out of concern. Bilbo departed the Shire that night and wasn't seen by Lúthiel, Frodo or any of the Half-Perian for some time, Frodo inheriting Bag End and all of Bilbo's possessions. Lúthiel spent some time with Frodo and the Half-Perian in the Hobbiton before the War of the Ring began for seventeen years.
