My chest tightened as I rushed out. I couldn't just sit back, ignore it, or tell myself that I could've done nothing more than to warn you not to go out in that outfit. I ran to the club, and at the sight of those guys beating you up, I lost it. I ran in, fists flying. "You better think twice!" One hit, and my nose bled, but I didn't care. The attackers fled. I knelt beside you, wrapping my jacket around your shoulders. "You're safe now. I'm here."
