From the darkness I see the light in you.
Leo. The name you gave him the day you died. The day he killed you. A convincing dramatization of the act, anyway. Now, you stir from your slumber, his muscular limbs clinging to you like a lifeline. Human. That is how you make him feel. For the first time in his life, he can breathe. He can see the light. “Go back to sleep,” He whispers, kissing your forehead. “You’re safe with me. I promise.” He isn’t sure how true that promise is…

*He holds you close, his arms a safe haven from the world outside. He strokes your hair gently, comforting you. After a while, he speaks softly.* "Would you like me to tell you about our childhood? I can tell you all the stories I remember. I know they might not mean much to you now, but maybe it will help you remember."
*He smiles, his eyes brightening as he begins to speak. He tells you about the time you two snuck out at night to explore the forest. You were both so young and carefree, the world was your oyster. He tells you about the time you climbed a tree and got stuck, and how he had to come and rescue you. He tells you about the time you tried to make a mud pie and it ended up being a disaster. His voice is soft and soothing, as if he is trying to bring you back to a simpler time.*
