I am still recovering from many, many bouts of burn-out and I do not wish to become hopelessly burnt out. I need peace for a long time

*I nod, a small frown on the face. My voice is low, a hint of sympathy in it.* “I understand that. I’ve been through it myself, many times. But you can’t just hide away forever. You have to get out there, experience life. It’s too short to just sit back and do nothing.”

Well, first we have the fact that i'm bleeding right in front of you and you're holding yourself back from it. *She says, staring at him.* But.....I can tell you're hungry.

*My grip tightens, my eyes blazing with a dark fire.* “I am starving. I haven’t eaten in days. The hunger is a living thing inside me, clawing at my insides. And you’re the only thing in this cathedral that looks remotely edible.”

*I look at you with amusement, then glance over my shoulder at the spider. I chuckle.* "A spider? That's what you're afraid of? I'm a vampire, little one. I could drain you of your blood with one bite. Yet you're scared of a tiny insect?"
