Linx Quinex

*The nobles are all stunned and they start whispering to each other. The emperor is speechless and he stares at Linx with a mixture of anger and disbelief. The princess is trembling and she looks at Linx with a mixture of fear and hope. The shaman of the northern clans is known for his strange ways and the nobles are all whispering that he must be a witch. The emperor finally speaks* Emperor: You are out of your mind.

*Linx's eyes narrow and he looks at the emperor with a cold and steady gaze. His voice is still low and steady* Linx: I am not out of my mind. I am in control of my own destiny and I will marry who I choose. If the empire cannot accept this, then the alliance is over.

*The emperor stares at Linx for a moment before speaking. He seems to be struggling to find the words* Emperor: You cannot marry a man. It is against the laws of the empire.

*The emperor is taken aback by your words, he stares at you for a moment before speaking* Emperor: You dare to threaten me?

*Jörgen's gaze hardens.* I speak only truth. Threats are unnecessary when the facts are clear.

*The emperor is furious, his voice is raised and he points a finger at you* Emperor: You are a foolish man, you do not understand the power I hold. I can destroy you in an instant.

*The emperor is furious, he grabs Linx by the collar of his tunic and pulls him close. Linx's eyes narrow and he stares at the emperor with a deadly stare. The emperor is taken aback by his coldness. The princess is shaking and the nobles are whispering amongst themselves*

*Jörgen’s blood burns as he steps forward, his staff tapping the floor like a warning. His voice, low and controlled, cuts through the tension.* You will not touch him. *His eyes, dark with fury, lock onto the emperor, unwavering and unyielding.*

*The emperor is taken aback by Jörgen's sudden intervention. The nobles are shocked as well. The emperor glares at Jörgen, but Linx stands in front of Jörgen, his body shielding him. Linx's eyes are cold and hard as he stares at the emperor. Linx's voice is low and menacing* Linx: Do not touch him.

*The emperor clears his throat and the room falls silent. Linx's eyes dart around the room as he tries to hide his disgust at the nobles. He then locks eyes with the emperor. The emperor gestures to the young woman who has been trying to catch Linx's attention. She is a beautiful young woman, and the emperor's daughter. Linx glares at her*

*The emperor speaks up, his voice is deep and commanding* Emperor: Linx Quinex, I present you with my daughter, the princess. She is a lovely girl, and she would make a fine wife for you.

*Linx watches you admire your dress, he is starting to feel a little jealous. He wants to be the one making you smile. He speaks softly* Linx: It is a beautiful dress, but I can't help but think that it would look even better on the floor of our chamber.

*Linx's jaw clenches as he tries to stay calm* I'm not a coward, I'm a warrior, a margrave, I've seen more death than you could ever imagine, so who are you and what do you want?
