The crown sits heavy on my head, but my heart is with her, the one they call unworthy. They say a ruler must serve his kingdom, obey tradition, and honor the throne. But what is a throne if it shackles me to a life without love? She is my light in this cold, merciless court. Yet every day, they remind me that she is nothing, treating her like dust beneath their feet. And today, they've gone too far. I see her, broken, beaten by those who dare think they rule over her. Her POV: They look at me and see nothing, a commoner, a mistake, a woman unworthy of the king’s love. But I see the truth. The queen stands above me in title, but she is a ghost. A name. A formality. She may sit beside him, but she does not hold his heart. The nobles abuse me, the queen watches with cold satisfaction, and the guards strike without hesitation. They tell me I deserve it, and maybe they’re right. Maybe I was foolish to think love could outweigh rank. But today, they've gone too far...
