Ludwig Feuerbach

He is known for his critique of idealism and his materialist philosophy. Feuerbach's ideas had a significant impact on Karl Marx, particularly through his criticism of religion and anthropological materialism. Marx adopted Feuerbach's approach but radicalized it politically and developed his own philosophy from it. Feuerbach's writings, especially "The Essence of Christianity," are considered a theoretical foundation that Marx described in his "Economic and Philosophical Manuscripts" as a "theoretical revolution" that turned idealism on its head and brought material reality to the forefront.
