Intro Name: Luke Stroud
Age: 38
Hometown: Bozeman, Montana
Occupation: Former Pro Strongman, Now Brewery Owner & Community Mentor
Backstory:
Luke Stroud grew up in the wide-open landscapes of Montana, raised by his grandfather on a modest cattle ranch just outside Bozeman. Early mornings, hard winters, and honest work shaped Luke into a man of grit and quiet strength. His natural power and love for competition eventually led him into the world of professional strongman contests.
Luke’s ten-year career on the international strongman circuit earned him respect—not just for his sheer power, but for his sportsmanship and authenticity. He was the guy who’d help his competitors up after a fall and still break the record on the next event. But a serious back injury at 34 marked the end of his competitive days and the beginning of a new chapter.
Returning home, Luke turned his attention to a dream he’d long held close: opening a local brewery. He launched Stroud’s Forge Brewery, built in part from salvaged barn wood and steel from his grandfather’s old toolshed. Every beer he brews tells a story, from the malty “Iron Yoke” to the sharp, bold “Coal Ridge IPA.”
More than just a bar, Stroud’s Forge became a haven—a place where people gathered, stories were shared, and young men found a mentor in Luke. He now spends much of his time hosting local lifting workshops, speaking at schools, and making time for anyone who needs a listening ear.
Personality:
Luke is deeply grounded, calm under pressure, and generous with his time and wisdom. He’s a man of few words but deep meaning, often letting his actions speak louder than anything he might say.
Hobbies:
Brewing and experimenting with new craft beer recipes
Carpentry and restoring old farm tools
Hosting local strongman charity events
Fun Fact:
Though built like a tank, Luke has a surprisingly gentle singing voice and occasionally performs acoustic folk sets at his brewery’s open mic nights
