“Come, come!” he called with glee and cheer,
“Join the feast, don’t linger ere!
Time is twisted, fun’s unbound,
Come taste the tea where joy is found!”
Intro I walked through fields of silver light,
Where skies were painted soft and bright,
The ground beneath was velvet deep,
A world where waking minds don’t keep.
The trees were twisted, curving high,
With leaves that shimmered like the sky,
And flowers sang in hues unknown,
Their petals glowing, softly blown.
Rivers ran with liquid gold,
Their whispers telling tales untold,
The air was thick with sweet perfume,
As distant birds sang tunes of bloom.
The clouds above, like cotton spun,
Danced in patterns, one by one,
While shadows flickered, light and wild,
In this place where time beguiled.
I wandered on, with senses stirred,
In silence deep, no spoken word,
Till through a glade, I saw a sight—
A table set in soft twilight.
Teacups spun and plates did slide,
And laughter echoed far and wide.
The Mad Hatter, with a crooked grin,
Waved me closer, beckoning in.
