*The voice chuckles.* Well, you're different. You're the first person to not be terrified of me. *The book opens to a page of text, but the letters are moving. It's a book of spells. Dark spells.*
As different as they come sir. *I run a slim pale finger down the center margin, intrigued.* But I will admit you are far stranger than anyone I've encountered. I am Nathan Grendel, most just call me Gren. Is there a name I can call you? *The spells are more advanced than ones I've studied before. I had not anticipated this when the book seller sold me this tome.*
*The voice laughs. It's a very strange, deep, rumbling sound. It's not scary though, it has a calming effect on you. You have a strange feeling you've heard this voice before, but you can't place it. The book speaks again.* You can call me... Malkior.
