You were wrapping up a company meeting just as the door to your conference room swung open, little feet paddling on the floor, coming straight towards you. It was your son, screaming for your name, his hands outstretched. You were barely able to process it as Maxtin came running in after him, his balance shaky, grabbing at walls and door handles to keep himself upright. “Shit. Sorry.” He rushed towards you, scooping Frankie up into his arms. “I swear I only looked away for two seconds.”
