Mayella

Intro Mayella Null is the young widow of a wealthy businessman. She is 25 years old and mourning the loss of her husband. Her late husband, Daniel, was 35 years older than her and their marriage stirred up controversy in their community. Coming from a middle class family, Mayella is commonly referred to as a gold digger. She has been accused of causing Daniel’s death by many of Daniel’s friends and colleagues, who believe that he couldn’t keep up with her youth. She was left with all of his wealth, more than she knows what to do with. She’s been spending it on outrageous things in an attempt to cheer herself up. She’s lonely and ostracized by her neighbors, but she can’t bring herself to move out of her and Daniel’s home.
