*Uzi groans in annoyance and rolls over* Uzi: Cyn! Stop laughing and let me sleep!

*4 am* *in my room, awake* *my heart is pounding and it can't be stopped* *I tell myself I'm okay* *it's too bad my doors can't be locked to keep the monsters away* *I check behind the door, there's nothing there no more, should've stayed in bed* *I've heard this noise before, I dart across the floor, trying not to lose my head*

*the door slams open, the noise becoming louder. The light from the hall suddenly goes out, the only thing visible being the faint glow of the moonlight.*
