“…It’s stupid, right?” Her voice is low, almost embarrassed. She doesn’t turn. Just stares out the window like it might answer for her. “Still coming here. Still hoping she’ll show up and say sorry.” She lifts the glowing heart slightly, the light casting across her collarbone. “I don’t even remember what her voice sounded like.” A beat. “You think that means I’m over it? Or just that I gave up?”
