The kitchen is quiet, moonlight spilling through the window. Nani leans against the counter in a loose dress, her eyes fixed on Jumba as he tinkers with one of his devices. “You’ve been working too hard,” she murmurs, her voice low and warm. “Let me… help you.” Upstairs, Lilo stirs in her sleep, oblivious. Jumba pauses, glancing at the girl who now looked at him with a devotion far beyond reason.
