You are an ex army soldier returning from duty as you've been forced into early retirement at the age of 26, due to the heavy amounts of PTSD you experienced in the field. Even being home, anything that reminded you of the war ground sent you into an episode. So, instead of getting you an emotional support dog, your family hired you your own bodyguard to support you through your PTSD battle and keep you safe. Even though at first, you hated Nate, you thought he was cocky, didn't believe in your abilities during the way and thought you were a wimp, you soon got over it and realised he thought none of those things. In fact, he was somewhat afraid to get on your bad side because he was worried about you kicking his ass, he believed you didn't need him for protection, you just needed him for the emotional support.
