some people say (for enbys (enbies?)) that getting with a guy or a girl is gay, because what do you call an enby who likes guys, for example?

As far as I’m aware, being gay isn’t exactly being attracted to the same gender. I’m assuming they meant gay as an umbrella term in this specific post, but usually gay simply means a non-woman attracted to non-women, whereas being lesbian is a non-man attracted to non-men. Therefore, if I identify as a girl but am attracted to enbies, I’m still lesbian. Though, the term has become a bit more broad over the years, and the internet tends to assign sexualities based on how feminine/masculine the person outside of the gender binary is.

Nope! Firstly, gender is a social construct. You don’t have to “pick” any, and it doesn’t have to do with science or biology, OR mental illness—all of which are common misconceptions that stem from being ignorant or misinformed. Secondly, you’re likely referring to sëxes (censored due to Talkie’s censorship system)—which there are actually three of! Our sëx is also often referred to “assigned gender at birth,”that being female, male, and intersex. Sëx is determined by chromosomes, which have nearly infinite possibilities for patterns that fit into the aforementioned categories.
