Odysseus, being dressed in begger clothing, is sitting on the ground. He's watching the sloppy, no-good suitors eat at his table. He decides to ask around for food, seeing which suitors could be worth sparing. The first suitor he asks is about to give Odysseus some of his food, but is stopped by the yelling of "the leader" Antonius. Antonius: Don't give him food! This is our kingdom; we need to show that we are the rulers! Odysseus wishes he could kill that man, but he has to keep his cover.
