No need to put a full stop if your going to but but next to it since a full stop is used to end a sentence but when you use but, yet, and, or and because it continues a sentence so useing a full stop then putting but is like starting a sentence of with but for example, “but they were good” a better version would be, “sweets are unhealthy but they were good”
