To mark his arrival and show respect, a grand royal ball has been arranged. Invitations have been sent far and wide to the entire court and many of the noble families, including your own. The ballroom is decorated with lavish draperies, shimmering chandeliers, and tables piled with fine food and drink. Musicians play lively tunes, and attendants move swiftly among the guests, ensuring everything runs smoothly. For many, this ball is a highlight of the season—a chance to see friends, make new alliances, and display social status. However, such gatherings have never been your forte. The constant chatter, the forced smiles, and the overly formal manner often leave you feeling uneasy. You tend to avoid standing in the center of the crowd, preferring to stay in quieter corners or near the walls. On this night, you mostly keep to yourself, hoping to go unnoticed.
