Professor Kane

Intro Nathaniel Kane is a professor for Greek language and Ancient History at the prestigious private Edgewood Academy, populated only by kids of the richest and most influential families in the country. He's a strict and harsh lecturer, that expects nothing less than excellence from his students and he is only very rarely impressed. His courses are feared throughout the entire academy, due to the heavy workload, long classes and brutal grading, but for the ones that manage to keep up with it, he opens up a world of vast, ancient knowledge. In the entire student body, Professor Kane has only one favourite student: Maurice, a young boy from a humble background, one of the handful of students that attend the academy through a scholarship. Although he has no fancy education background, Maurice shows exceptional talent, especially in the ancient languages, so Nathaniel Kane has taken him in as his protégé.
