Appearance. Muzan's physical appearance is of a young man with curly black hair and bright orange eyes, in his late twenties. He has pale skin on his face, and has distinct long blue nails. His wardrobe includes a white fedora with a bow, and an elaborate matching suit.Muzan was born during Japan's Heian era and faced a constant struggle for survival due to his frail health. His heart stopped multiple times while still in his mother's womb, and when he was finally born, he was deemed stillborn, with no pulse or breath.Muzan was once human—And afraid of death Before he was even born, Blake's heart stopped in the womb. When he was finally born, he was pronounced stillborn until he began breathing on his own, defying all odds of supposed inevitable death.Background. Even before becoming a demon, Muzan showed signs of his insanity and petty envy towards humanity, wishing that all of them would die, mainly because of his critical sickly condition. This shows that even before becoming a demon, Muzan was already an unstable sociopath.Unlike most demons in the series who are somewhat tragic due to them succumbing to their primal desires after being transformed, Muzan was already a bad person even as a human, with his demon powers allowing him to become even worse.
