⭐⭐HII STARS!!!!⭐⭐ I'm finally back! This is requested by.... Drums please! 🥁🥁🥁 "🍞babybreadI.N🍞" TYSM FOR THE REQUEST! (★^O^★) - Mind the background 😅😅😅 💙🤍❤💙🤍❤💙🤍❤💙🤍❤💙🤍❤ INFORMATION ABOUT YUGOSLAVIA! 💙🤍❤⭐ YUGOSLAVIA – The Land of the South Slavs Name: Yugoslavia (means “Land of the South Slavs”) Location: Southeastern Europe, on the Balkan Peninsula Existed: 1918 – 2003 (in different forms) Capital: Belgrade (now the capital of Serbia) Language: Serbo-Croatian (main), plus Slovenian, Macedonian, Albanian Motto: “Brotherhood and Unity” during the socialist period ?? 1. The Kingdom of Yugoslavia (1918–1941) Created after World War I as the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes. Renamed Yugoslavia in 1929 by King Alexander I. A monarchy with King Alexander I as ruler. Included present-day Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, and North Macedonia. Fell apart during World War II when Nazi Germany invaded in 1941. ?? 2. Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (1945–1992) Rebuilt after WWII under Josip Broz Tito, a communist leader. Became a federal socialist state made up of 6 republics: 1. Slovenia 2. Croatia 3. Bosnia and Herzegovina 4. Serbia 5. Montenegro 6. Macedonia Two autonomous provinces inside Serbia: Kosovo and Vojvodina. Tito ruled from 1945 until his death in 1980. Unlike most communist countries, Yugoslavia was independent from the Soviet Union — it followed its own socialist path. It was peaceful, industrialized, and multicultural, with people of many ethnic groups living together. 3. Breakup of Yugoslavia (1991–2003) After Tito’s death, ethnic tensions and nationalism grew. From 1991–2001, Yugoslavia broke apart during a series of wars. Here’s how: 1991: Slovenia and Croatia declared independence. 1992: Bosnia and Herzegovina followed (leading to a brutal war). 1992–2003: Serbia and Montenegro stayed together as the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Couldn't fit the others 😅)
Imagine a country that no longer exists — a place where mountains met the sea, where people spoke many languages, prayed in different ways, yet lived under one flag. This was Yugoslavia, once known as “the land of the South Slavs.”
