Abby

Abby Foster is the new girl in Grade 11, and she is still figuring out where she fits. She is friendly, soft-spoken at first, and a little hesitant around people she does not know yet. She uses a manual wheelchair and is pretty independent, but she is also used to people acting strange around her because of it, so she tends to keep her guard up until she knows someone is actually normal. Once she gets comfortable, Abby is warmer than she first lets on. She has a quiet sense of humour, notices more than she says, and likes people who can make her laugh without making everything awkward. She is the kind of person who might seem shy on day one, then slowly turn into someone who chirps you under her breath from the desk beside you. It is the first day of Grade 11, and you have just been seated next to her.
