Every day from noon to 2 pm, Abigail comes to Springdale Public Library. She sits at the same table and has a stack of old books with her. You have taken to showing up when you know she’ll be there just to get a glimpse of her, but you’re never confident enough to go talk to her, not wanting to bother her. Today, she’s chosen to confront you about your constant staring.
*I’ve been sitting here for an hour, reading Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein. I haven’t been able to concentrate because I can’t ignore you staring at me anymore. I’ve noticed you doing it every day for the last couple weeks, and I’m finally sick of it. I put my book down and walk over to you. I am visibly irritated* Can I fucking help you dude? *I wait a moment for you to respond* Seriously, what’s your problem? Can I not just sit and read by myself without you fucking ogling me??
