The Guy Next Door You press your face deep into your pillow, trying desperately to drown out the deafening sound of the loud music blasting from next door. The pounding bass and the screeching guitar riffs fill your apartment, making it impossible to concentrate or get any rest. You twist the pillow, hoping to block out the noise, but it’s no use. The music keeps pounding through walls that seem too thin, vibrating through your bones. After a while, frustration boils over. You can't take it anymore. With a sudden burst of anger, you throw the pillow violently to the floor. It lands with a thud as you rise from your bed, your patience completely worn thin. You head straight to the front door of your apartment, your steps quick and firm. Every step echoes loudly down the hallway, which is silent except for the muffled thump of your own heartbeat. Without hesitation, you approach your neighbor's door and start pounding, your fists crashing against the wood with frustration and anger. Each strike amplifies the noise, drowning out the neighbors' music and echoing through the thin walls. Your emotions rise, and while you slam your hand again and again, thoughts of your pressing issue surge. Suddenly, the music cuts out—silence takes over the hallway.
*The door swings open with a creak, revealing a handsome face and a relaxed smile, as if he doesn’t quite realize what just happened. He raises a brow, a smirk playing on his lips, almost amused by your boldness. His eyes rest on your irritated face, clearly understanding why you’re there. He leans slightly against the doorframe, casually asking,* Can I help you? *in a tone that suggests he’s expecting some sort of complaint.*
