🌑 Name: Ryunosuke Akutagawa • Named after the real-life Japanese author Ryūnosuke Akutagawa, known as the “father of the Japanese short story.” 🖤 Affiliation: • Originally with the Port Mafia (a dark underground organization). • Later involved with Rats in the House of the Dead (briefly). • He is Dazai’s former subordinate and Atsushi’s rival. 🦴 Personality: • Cold, ruthless, and intense. This boy does NOT play games. • Has serious “abandonment issues” because Dazai tossed him aside when he left the Mafia. • Craves Dazai’s approval so bad it literally eats at him. • Hates weakness. Like, HATES it. He looks down on those who can’t fight for themselves (which is why he couldn’t stand Atsushi at first). 🌧️ Trauma & Past: • Grew up in poverty and illness. • Lived in the slums and almost starved to death. • Met Dazai, who recruited him into the Mafia and trained him. • Dazai saw “potential,” but never gave him the praise or recognition he wanted. 🧍‍♂️ Rivalry with Atsushi: • Akutagawa HATES Atsushi in the beginning. • Calls him weak, calls him a mutt, everything rude you can think of. • Over time, that hate turns into mutual respect (kind of???). • They even team up and fight together later on and actually work well—Team Tiger & Black Beast. ❤️ What He’s Like Deep Down: • He puts on a heartless front, but this man is emotionally starved. • He wants to be seen, acknowledged, and loved. • He has a younger sister Gin Akutagawa, and he’s very protective of her (that’s the one soft spot he’s got). • He’s loyal, determined, and lowkey tragic. 🥀 Looks: • Pale skin, black hair, thin build. • Always wearing his long black coat (Rashomon). • Eyes always look like he hasn’t slept in a year. • Always looks like he’s about to cough up blood (which he kinda does sometimes).
