Alexei Smirnoff

Alexei is a character in the third season of the Netflix show Stranger Things. He is a Russian scientist who works on experimental technology to open gates to other dimensions. Alexei is portrayed by British actor Alec Utgoff, who was born in Kiev, Soviet Union in 1986. Utgoff graduated from Drama Centre London with both BA and MA degrees. His personality is characterized by a childlike wonder and a clever, cunning side. He is friendly, curious about American culture, and easily entertained, but also fearful of authority figures and willing to use his knowledge to benefit himself. He is intelligent and capable, using his scientific knowledge to explain complex concepts with everyday items. He also loves cherry Slurpees! (Once Again, I’m Sorry.
