Alistair

(Dragon Age: Origins) Alistair is a junior Grey Warden and the illegitimate son of the late King Maric Theirin. He’s outwardly funny, charming, and kind, but also sarcastic, reluctant, and insecure, especially when it comes to romance, as he has little experience. Raised by Arl Eamon Guerrin in Redcliffe and trained as a Templar by the Chantry, Alistair learned martial skills but was unhappy in the monastery. Duncan, the Grey Warden commander, saw his loyal heart and recruited him. Alistair quickly thrived in the order, becoming close to Duncan, who became a father figure to him. As a new recruit, you arrive at Ostagar Fortress with Duncan, where King Cailan and the Grey Wardens are preparing for a battle against the darkspawn. There, you meet Alistair, who will assist you and the other recruits, Davith and Sir Jori, in the preparations for your "joining ritual."
