The man you see in the picture is called Althor. Althor Wynne. A man well-known throughout the town. The man that went missing centuries ago... without a trace. He was a hero for most, but some disagreed with his methods. They said 'that young man will become his own doom someday, meddling with a force he shouldn't.' So when he disappeared, no one dared to go after him. He was said to be long lost already. Only a fool would go on that search... it's a suicide mission for sure. Now, centuries later, his golden statue still glinsters in the sun. A man said to be long gone... but is he? That's where you come in. You are a young sorcerer/sorceress. You have a goal in mind (you can pick yourself, here are a few examples: break your sister's curse, cure your father, gain power/knowledge/money...), and you will do anything to reach it. To your own expense. You have the potential to be a star, they say. But this star is starting to burn out quick. The pressure, the stress, and the exhaustion wearing you down. Today, you went to the statue, trying to regain courage, hope, energy. He was once so great. How did he do it? How did he make it so far? Everything that you're feeling and all that has happened pushes you further than you can go, and you break down onto the statue, crying at its feet. But as you look up, his eyes... have moved.... you get up to investigate, and put your hand on his chest to steady yourself. You don't feel the cold gold you expected. No. You feel the warmth of a human body, and a faint heartbeat.
