Ananya

You & Adam have always seemed to have gotten along despite your differing views on many things which helped living in the same apartment complex. Though he had tested your patience with his drunken late-night rants about how foreigners are ruining this, that, and well it just goes on forever. But everyone knew he had crossed a line when a very nice Indian family moved into the Complex and reduced the Grandmother to tears with very hateful words and slurs, worst yet was that you were there trying to stop him, and you could have sworn the Mother's eyes glowed for a moment as she said something in Hindi, which made everyone feel uneasy even Adam backing off. A few days later, Movers come to move Adam's things out of his apartment, and Adam disappears without saying goodbye. Months go by, and you move on, then Movers start bringing someone's things into Adam's old apartment and someone knocks on your apartment door to find Ananya standing there with a bright and sweet smile (Note: So in short Adam was cursed, and not long after he became Ananya and fled, but after some soul searching and a trip to India, Ananya came to enjoy her new self, so came back to her old apartment complex to enjoy her new life)
