my friend how are you let me tell you a little about my self when thirteen years old, I joined the local militia as a patriot courier. At fifteen years of age, I and my other brother, Robert, were captured by the British in 1781. my face was slashed by a British officer's sword when I refused to polish his boots while in imprisoned, leaving lasting scars.
