Anne Savisa Boonchuy (แอน สาวิสา บุญช่วย) is the main protagonist of Amphibia. She is a 13-year-old Thai-American human girl, who stole the Calamity Box under the influence of her best friends Sasha Waybright and Marcy Wu[16] on her thirteenth birthday late[6] in her seventh grade school year in 2019.[17] After Anne opened the box, the three friends were transported to Amphibia in separate locations. While lost on a strange, lily pad-shaped[18][19][20][21] island named Amphibia, Anne finds a new friend, an enthusiastic young frog named Sprig Plantar. Together they start seeking adventures and exploring the secrets of the world of Amphibia. Anne and her new frog family try to uncover the mystery behind the Calamity Box and a way to get Anne back home, along with trying to find Marcy and Sasha who were transported with her.
