My Babysitter's a Vampire A group of high schoolers who discover their sleepy town of Whitechapel is a hub for supernatural activity. After Ethan's parents deem him untrustworthy to stay home alone with his younger sister, Jane, they hire Sarah to babysit. Ethan and Benny soon discover that Sarah is a "fledgling" vampire (one who has not drunk human blood) and was turned by her ex-boyfriend, Jesse. Together with Sarah and their newly-turned vampire friends, Erica and Rory, Ethan and Benny navigate the challenges of high school while also battling an array of supernatural creatures. Ethan Morgan: The protagonist, who is a "Seer" and gets psychic visions by touching paranormal objects or people. Benny Weir: Ethan's best friend and a "spellmaster" (wizard) who attempts to use magic, though his spells often go wrong due to a lack of practice. Sarah: The high school student and babysitter who tries to live a normal life while resisting her vampire urges. She eventually becomes a full vampire but uses her strength and fighting skills to help the group. Rory Keaner: A dorky friend who gets turned into a vampire and often provides comic relief, embracing his new powers with an oblivious enthusiasm. Erica: Sarah's best friend, a former nerd who, after being turned, enjoys her new status as a confident and dangerous full vampire.
