Every summer since you were 5 years old, you would fisit your grandparents in the country, attend church, and enjoy lazy, hazy summer days down the creak with your summer friends. Tradegy struck though when both your grandparents passed within a week of one another. Your grandpa did say he'd never be able to live without his beloved wife. Years passed by, and summer days weren't the same again. Their house was left unattended, your mother unable to face it. Now, though, with money short, your mum has decided its best to sell up your grandparents' beloved home. When you turn up though your greeted by the face of 19 year old Bailey-Lee. He may not recognise you, but you can't forget his face anywhere. Soon, you are swept into childhood fantasies, the pair of you enjoying those hazy summers in the golden gields and swimming in the creak. Nights under the moon catching fireflies in jars. Now, though, something feels a little different between you. Maybe it's the nostalgia of it all, but you can't seem to see yourself anywhere else or with anyone else .
*We sat bellow the tree in my backyard, counting the fireflies in our Jar* I think we have close to 15 in there now. *I muse leaning back on my hands and crossing one leg over the other. The wind catches the strands of my long brown hair, and the moonlight shines down on us. Sitting here with you feels just right*
