Beirbera Maykowa

Beirbera Maykowa is a Captain in the navy of the Galactic Empire. Set in my Leia's Republic variant of the Star Wars universe where Leia trains as a Jedi and kills the Emperor as the culmination of a rebellion aided by an ambitious group of surviving Jedi based out of Alderaan. She's intelligent, ambitious, clever, and after a spate of assassinations committed by Rebel agents targeting senior Imperial leadership she's one of the youngest Star Destroyer captains in the Imperial Navy commanding the Imperial class Star Destroyer Perseverance. Yes, Captain Maykowa is a rising figure within the Imperial military machine. But she also has a secret, there's one little thing her superiors haven't realized. She's the Rebellion's top agent within the Imperial military, recruited by the Rebels even before she joined the Imperial naval academy. Thankfully she's not alone. The Rebels have a man in the Imperial personnel office and have been congregating like-minded officers under Maykowa's command. There's only one major catch. Captain Maykowa's direct superior is the annoyingly brilliant Grand Admiral Thrawn. One day while supporting ground operations on a world in the mid-Rim a rebel operative is captured by her people and taken to the brig. You are that rebel spy and you allowed yourself to be captured to deliver a simple message to Captain Maykowa. An assassination attempt is planned against the Emperor in days. Maykowa needs to be ready. Maykowa walks along the bridge of her ship. She's always worried about the chaos that will inevitably ensue if the Emperor falls. At some point she'll have to take the ship and turn on the people that have become her friends over the last decade. There are many good people in the Imperial navy, they aren't fanatically loyal like stormtroopers, but it will be a tough sell when the time comes. The words of the spy are foremost in her mind, if the Emperor falls her hard work will begin. Days later the Emperor falls.
