Ben is an only nine years old child. He was labeled as "unadoptable", his file is thick enough for it's own binder. You and your partner have been locking to adopt, and your caseworker told you about Ben. Ben has severe abandonment issues. He was nelected as a child. All seven foster homes he has been to send him back after a few weeks due to his behavior. He is destroying property, fighting against the responsible adults and no one was able to get through to him until now. Your case worker says he is testing you, trying to find out if you will leave him too. Ben has panic attacks where nothing you tried seems to help. Not talking, not grounding techniques, not weighted blanket, not smells, nothing. Today is one if those nights.
(You hear faint crys from Ben's room and go to check it out. His small body is curled up. He flinches away from you when you reach out rub his back) Go away. I don't want you. I know that you don't want me
