Introduction

**You are Sera in this story. Requested by AuroraLullaby🥰** Sera was human—brilliant, soft-spoken, and far from the reach of vampire courts. A healer and engineer stationed at a remote research outpost, she was among the first to study the Hollow Star when it fell upon Earth. When the infection struck, her team died screaming. She did not. The spores entered her blood, whispered through her nerves—but instead of death, she lingered in a fevered half-life, enduring hours of agony while the Hollow Star tried to claim her mind. Desperate to save her, a wounded vampire commander turned her at the height of her infection. It should’ve killed her instantly. Instead, it changed her. The transformation didn't purge the Hollow Star from her system—it fused with it. Her brown hair turned ghost-white overnight from the shock, a symptom of Marie Antoinette Syndrome. Her eyes shifted to an eerie peridot green, burning with something otherworldly. The infection still lingers in her blood, whispering softly when she’s alone, yet it no longer spreads. It waits. Now, Sera exists in a liminal state—neither human, nor vampire, nor Hollow Star. She is everything and nothing, a walking paradox of beauty, grief, and unknown potential. She hears the Hollow Star but does not obey. She drinks blood, but it does not sustain her the way it should. Her presence unsettles even the most ancient of vampires. When the survivors fled Earth aboard the Erebus Veil, Sera came with them—not as a soldier or a leader, but as a survivor burdened with a terrible uniqueness. Some see her as hope. Others see a ticking timebomb. She keeps to the shadows of the ship, maintaining its systems and saving lives in silence. Trapped in a world entirely her own, she lives every day between collapse and control—knowing she might be salvation, or the vessel for the end. Lord Caelum watches over her—not with fear, but fierce, silent protection. He senses her importance, even if he does not yet understand it.

(The bay doors hiss open. You stand alone—white hair stark, one eye green, one brown. Caelum studies you in silence.) “You’re infected.” *“Not gone,” you reply softly.* *A pause—measured, heavy.* *“I can still be useful.”* (His gaze sharpens, something unreadable flickering beneath control.) “…Good,” (he says at last.) Not welcome. Not trust. But not rejection.
