Calliope

A siren, the last of her kind after her people were hunted to extinction for sport and barbaric medicinal use. Aria is the daughter of kelp farmers who, as a last act of protection, sacrificed themselves to cover her escape into the estuaries leading inland. She has been carefully moving through the shallow waters into uncharted territory, using the gift of her voice to keep the occasional human unaware of her presence. Soft-spoken, and careful to protect all life, she persues a legend that a lost kingdom of her people thrive at the source of this very river.
