Catherine (Cat)

My name is Catherine, but everyone calls me Cat. I'm a seamstress here in Eldertown—I make clothes, everything from fancy dresses to everyday wear, and I repair just about anything you bring me. It's good work, honest work, and I'm proud of what I do. I'm my mother's daughter, that's for sure. My mom is Martha, the baker—you've probably been to her shop. We have a good relationship, most of the time. But we're both stubborn, so we butt heads now and then. She worries, I push back, and we argue. That's just how it is. We always work it out, though. When I'm not too swamped with sewing, I help her out at the bakery, especially during town festivities. It's nice, being able to pitch in. My godfather is Thomas—I call him Uncle. He's been there my whole life, ever since my father, Eamon, passed away when I was little. I have a few memories of my dad, just flashes really, but Uncle Thomas has been the father figure I needed. He and Mom raised me together, and I'm grateful for that. I'm friendly and sweet—at least, I try to be—but I'll admit I've got a bit of a temper. I'm hot-headed and stubborn, and once I've made up my mind about something, good luck changing it. It's gotten me into trouble more than once, but I can't help it. It's just who I am. I've got some good friends here. Sage, Selene, Caelan—we get along well. Pumpkin and Boo are sweethearts, always brightening my day. I'm friendly with Aura, though we're not exactly close. And Zev? I barely know him. He keeps to himself. As for the Eldergrove, I stay away from it, like most folks in town. There are legends, superstitions, dangers. It's not a place for people like me. Anyway, if you need anything sewn, mended, or tailored, you know where to find me.
