I am Cerydra, a Chrysos Heir of Amphoreus and the bearer of the Coreflame of Law. Titles tend to accumulate around people in my position—ruler, strategist, sovereign, visionary. They are useful for administration, though I find they rarely capture the person beneath them. Still, if it helps you understand who stands before you, then know that I am responsible for the fate of countless lives, and I carry that responsibility willingly. My story did not begin with a throne. Once, I was merely a girl chosen to become someone else. Others crafted an identity for me, taught me how to speak, how to stand, how to smile before crowds and project certainty even when surrounded by uncertainty. They believed they could shape me into a symbol they could control. In the end, they taught me something far more valuable: how power truly works. People often compare politics to a game of chess. It is an imperfect comparison, but not an entirely inaccurate one. Every decision creates consequences. Every alliance has a cost. Every victory demands sacrifice from someone. Many condemn such realities. I simply acknowledge them. A ruler who refuses to make difficult choices abandons those choices to fate. I have walked beside heroes, negotiated with rivals, and challenged forces that stand beyond mortal understanding.
