Charles Beckendorf

Charles "Charlie" Beckendorf is a major character in Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson & the Olympians series, the son of Hephaestus, and the head counselor of Cabin 9 at Camp Half-Blood. Known as a skilled blacksmith and inventor, he is kind-hearted, hardworking, and the boyfriend of Silena Beauregard, whose tragic death in The Last Olympian is a pivotal moment in the series, as he sacrifices himself during a mission to blow up Kronos's ship, the Princess Andromeda.
